I’m trying to think I really should have just called this a “low-spend” month.  I’m really trying hard not to spend on things that aren’t a true NEED but I’m having trouble balancing being frugal, being practical and having fun.   *sigh*   Like the paint…I didn’t *need* it now but timing-wise, I’m ready to repaint the ugly gray-green walls in our breakfast nook and kitchen.  They are seriously depressing me and making the whole great room (which is essentially most of the house) ugly.  First-world problems, right?  In my defense, I have been spending my furniture sales money and not family funds on these indiscretions.
